Health & Wellbeing Success

Tumu Timbers Health and Wellbeing Committee (Keeping U Well) were announced in May 2017 as finalists in the prestigious SAFEGUARD Workplace Health and Safety awards.

We were one of three finalists in the “Vitae Best Initiative to promote better worker health”. While we were edged out as category winners by Methanex NZ, it was testament to all of the committee’s hard work shown by the recognition of achieving finalist status.

Kylie Truman, James Truman and Mel Gettins attended the awards on behalf of the committee and came away with a sense of pride at all the work Tumu Timbers does across all categories and the belief that we can compete with many larger companies in various industries.

Kylie and James also attended the Safeguard Health and Safety Conference which coincided with the awards and found the event extremely informative.

Look out for further entries into next year’s awards by Tumu Timbers!
