Social Club Trip to Taupo

Tumu Timbers Social Club ventured to Taupo for the weekend (24^th and 25^th September)

 

First stop, HukaJet Boats where we all got a little bit wet and an adrenaline rush from the V6 and V8 jets, note to self don’t let the H&S Coordinator ride in the front of the JetBoat. Then next door to the Prawn Farm for lunch to try out the set menu, a beautiful lunch enjoyed by all.

 

Then we all had a few hours spare time, where some tested their golf skills, others tested their social skills,  others enjoyed a nice relaxing soak in the hot pools and some just enjoyed some much needed R&R. We all meet up at 6pm where we went to Fins the local Irish bar for dinner and a taste of the night life.

 

Sunday morning saw us check out of our accommodation at DeBretts and head to McDonalds for breakfast and then to the Hole in One golf on the lake front where none of our crew claimed any big prizes unfortunately.

 

All in all a good weekend had by all, some are already asking when the next one is.
