Surf Lifesavers Turn Entrepreneurs

Meet Micah and Joseph, business owners of Konumohe Design, one of the many innovative business startups involved in this year’s Young Enterprise Scheme (YES).

With the support and mentorship of our Production Manager Reece at TUMU Timbers, Konumohe Design will work through the ins and outs of starting a business and creating a product to bring to market.

Micah and Joseph recently met up with Reece to discuss their project. They enjoyed a tour of TUMU Timbers where they were introduced to the inner workings of a large timber manufacturing facility. The sponsorship perfectly aligns the product they will bring to market at the end of the year – a wooden key ring in the shape of Bare Island.

We also love that Konumohe will be giving back to their community. Micah and Joseph are keen surf lifesavers, so some of their sales proceeds will go to support the Waimarama Surf Lifesaving Club.
