Finalists at Commerce Awards 2016

Tumu Timbers were approached by ACC and asked to enter the HB Chamber of Commerce Business Award 2016.  ACC were sponsoring the Health and Safety section.

 

Our entry focused primarily on the Health and Wellbeing initiatives that have been implemented by Tumu Timbers over the last 18 months.  Check out our website to read more on what some of these initiatives are.

 

After we completed our application and the judge visit our site we were delighted to find ourselves as finalists. Mel Gettins (Management Trainee) and Kylie Truman (Compliance Co-ordinator) attended the black tie prize giving on Friday 18 November.  Unfortunately we didn’t come away with a win however some great industry connections were made.  It is always good to talk with like minded people.

 

Congratulations to HB Wool Scourers for their win in this section.  The overall business winner on the night was Eastern Truck and Marine.
